A former slave boy sets out to discover what happened to his friends six years after the government of Senegal closed down their rescue-shelter and sent the boys back out on the streets.
Told through the perspective of a former TALIBE - a slave boy in Senegal - and the Christian missionary who started the shelter, this documentary explores the brutal reality of the talibe world and the corrupt system that perpetuates child-slavery and trafficking through the guise of Islamic religious tradition.
The journey of the former talibe in his search for answers and the missionary’s attempt to re-open the shelter again are chronicled in this visceral documentary.
